We’re so glad you’re here. We help Christian women use the brain God gave them to be bold and fearless for the Gospel.
Our goal is not to convince you that you need to go to seminary, earn an M.Div and become a theologian. Quite the opposite, actually! We are everyday women, just like you. And if we can do it, you can too.
We know Christian women don’t feel confident in their everyday faith conversations
We talk to everyday Christian women every single day who tell us their biggest challenges are not feeling confident in their everyday faith conversations, not knowing what answers to give or how to give them, and just how to express themselves. Why you believe what you believe without getting nervous or defensive.
We know you want to be able to speak confidently with your friends, family, neighbors – even your kids. We know you want to set your little corner of the world on fire for Jesus….but you’re just not quite sure how to do it, exactly.
We’re on a mission to change that.
We’re a lot alike. We want to speak confidently to the people that matter most to us. We want to make sure our kids understand the faith, too. (Because statistics show 75% of kids leave the faith as soon as they move out of Mom and Dad’s house).
Which means that none of us can afford to ignore the problems in the church. And what we really need is the knowledge and guidance to have the most effective faith conversations we can have.
Are you ready?
I’m a single mom currently living in Southwest Utah. I was not raised in biblical Christianity. I was raised in Mormonism and left the church when I was 16, but
I am a certified, card-carrying Bible-apologetics-church history-theology nerd. I believe Jesus is worth everything. I whole-heartedly believe that in the new heaven and new earth I will be God’s Librarian and Historian.
Apologetics, the history of Christianity, theology, the Bible and how all of this intersects with very practical applications to our lives are my very favorite subjects to talk about!
I wish I could tell you I left Mormonism for Jesus – but I didn’t. Within 6 years of leaving I became an agnostic, and then a staunch atheist. And that’s where I stayed until I was 37.
Shortly after being born-again I found apologetics and it was like manna from heaven! I found out we have a God who actually wants us to reason with Him? Shut. Up. You mean we’re allowed to learn about church history, how to use our brains and learn all about God? Amazing!
After a couple of years of learning and applying apologetics to my everyday faith conversations I slowly began realizing that most of the Christian women I came in contact had absolutely no clue what I was talking about. And they were not confident in their faith conversations, or their knowledge. They weren’t sure how to say what they believe and why they believe it.
So, I started an online community for Christian women to learn what they believe, why they believe it, and do they have good reasons to believe.
As the community grew we realized we needed to start writing about the topics we talk about
Then we discovered Christian women also have a need to learn church history and sound doctrine. So we started communities for those as well.
I have appeared on Theology Gals and Healing X Outreach podcasts, sharing some of my experiences being raised in a True Believing, multi-generational Mormon family whose roots go back to the founding of Mormonism; what it is like exiting the system, and the need for more Christians to learn how to interact with Mormons.
I’ve also written guest articles on the need to think well about our faith, and be bold & fearless for the Gospel:
- The Devil Made Me Do It @ Community of Inspired Moms
- What To Say When Your Kids Ask If Dinosaurs and Humans Lived on the Earth at the Same Time @ A Momma’s Joy
- How can knowing the names of God in Hebrew help us be bold and fearless for the Gospel? @ My Messy Desk
Debbie is a retired special education teacher and Meme (that’s Grandma, for you non-Southerners) to six precious grandchildren.
She is also wife to Jim, mom to Sarah and Rachel and a bunch of furry four-legged animals of the canine variety.
But most importantly, she is a child of God – a daughter of the King. And that gets her excited!
So where do you start?
Jesus never said, “Go and make theologians.” He said to go and make disciples. So that’s what we do. We disciple women to be fearless for the Gospel.
We are not experts, we are enthusiasts. We are passionate about church history, apologetics and theology and how those work together in everyday life, e
We share what we are learning, as we are learning it. We tell you what’s worth checking out and what isn’t worth it – because you’re busy and don’t have time and money to waste on nonsense.
Whether you read our articles and book reviews or join us in our online community, our goal is to inspire and excite you to think well about your faith. We want you to know what you believe, why you believe it, and if you have good reasons to believe it. Why do we want that for you? So that you will be fearless for the Gospel.
